From shipboy to captain, he worked and lived on the old elegant ships that tell history. His fascination with almost forgotten craftsmanship and the beauty that lies within grew steadily until he acquired incredible knowledge over the years.
The combination of years of first-hand experience and excellent drafting and mathematical skills from his studies in architecture made him a top-notch leatherworker, mastering everything from initial sketching to design to completion.

Our company name is composed of the surname of the founder Siegfried Janse van Rensburg and the word Adornments - a significant old English word from the sailor's language. It means something like "to make something valuable and more beautiful". On long voyages across the oceans they often made beautiful things from wood, leather and ropes to decorate the beloved ship or to bring home as gifts. These often artistic and unique works were called Adornments.
Of course, our story does not end here! Accompany us on our further way and let us realize together still numerous interesting projects with tradition and innovation!
